Prof. Dr. med. Rosch / Prof. Dr. med. Koeditz  •  Music & Brain – Medical Perspective
A look into the future
Let us once again go back to Mrs D., whose Parkinson problems disappeared under music. Neurologically this means, that by the brain activities initiated through the music, the necessary neurotransmitters were again generated to a sufficient degree; or they reached again their receptors and, in consequence, the motoric disorders disappeared.

As we know this can also be achieved by giving proper medical substances to the patient. But in doing so these substances go to all corresponding receptors within the whole organism, while actually only a few of them in the brain would have to be reached. Thus it is no wonder that a flood of unwanted and often harming side effects is generated.

If music preparations could be developed, that would sufficiently regenerate the production of the corresponding neurotransmitters at their naturally designed place in the brain, then this would be without doubt the better way of treatment. And such prospects are no longer “dreamy music of the future”.

On the basis of the present experiences with MRT-Music® we can be very confident, that in the near future, medical and musicological research will explore natural inter-relations between musical and biological structures and processes. This has, as the case of Mrs. D. shows, invaluable advantages. With the medical data carrier music (of natural harmonic order) we work from within the system. We do not give foreign substances to the organism. The production of the needed substances is stimulated exactly in the natural dosage and at the naturally designed place for it – without flooding the whole organism in a kind of all round-fight.

We know the Medical Resonance Therapy Music® of the classical composer and musicologist Peter Hübner since many years and on the basis of the research performed so far and on the basis of the case descriptions and patient protocols we are convinced today: in not a too far future Avicenna will be confirmed by neuroscience. Up to one third of medical complaints could be significantly reduced by restoring harmony in the body through appropriate music.
In the treatment of many diseases specially designed music preparations of natural harmonic order will then be the rule – without harming side effects and cost effective.
