Peter Hübner – The Significance of our Consciousness to Medicine

And if we say today: “He achieves zero”, then we mean: he is useless, he is an absolute failure in his achievements.
This is how we generally understand zero nowadays, apart from calculations – also among mathematicians if they are truthful.

Historically, zero developed in Indian monasteries, and was the result of deep and successful meditation.
As we know, serious meditation is designed to overcome deep sleep and the absolute sound barrier of the so-called civilised world.

In so far, correct meditation always leads to deep sleep, because that is where its first field of work is: overcoming deep sleep.
I have already mentioned on other occasions that there are many kinds of meditations, which do not manage this. But of course, there are some that manage it.

That is why we appropriately define: meditation is only what enables us to overcome deep sleep and thus consciously push forwards into the cosmic light worlds – anything else is a waste of time, no matter what it costs, even if it costs nothing at all.

Deep sleep is only recognised as such, in the context of this practical advance into the cosmic worlds.
For, the person who falls into deep sleep, cannot give any credible information on it – because he is there in absolute unconsciousness, in which he has even lost his consciousness of life.

Deep sleep can therefore only be located and recognised by someone who, on the one hand, has all external appearances of deep sleep – neuro-psychologically and mentally –, but who at the same time, is able to stay awake internally beyond complete mental inactivity.

At this moment he will recognise the existence of cosmic light worlds beyond deep sleep, which he has never perceived before, and which have remained concealed to him until now: of whose existence he knew nothing – even if the great thinkers of mankind reported on these again and again.

And this time he also perceives deep sleep as a conscious phenomenon, to which he now looks back upon as to a pitch-black wall.

This is how the experience and knowledge of deep sleep comes about in the first place: in retrospect from the cosmic world of experience of the fourth main state of consciousness to the world without experience of the third main state of consciousness.

Historically, this is where the non-historical natural hour of birth of zero lies: here “not-thinking” is recognised as the foundation of thinking, and here deep sleep is recognised as the basis of the relative waking state of consciousness, as well as relative dream consciousness.

And with reference to mathematics, it is recognised that zero is the natural base of the entire number system.

Not before achieving the fourth main state of consciousness are the natural cosmic functions of zero and the numbers recognised, and it is also recognised that zero really concerns the “infinite” or more precisely: the negation of the infinite due to inadequate development of consciousness: due to deep sleep.

While in the third main state of consciousness zero is indeed still “nothingness”, this zero suddenly has the role of the infinite in the fourth main state of consciousness. Thus, in the context of meditation, when advancing into deep sleep, first of all the knowledge of nothingness is created and therefore this meaning of zero.

But with the achievement of the fourth main state of consciousness – after successfully overcoming deep sleep – the impression of the infinite exists: exactly there, where the impression of nothingness existed before.
